Access dozens of engaging classroom activities, newly adapted for distance-learning, through PopEd’s spring webinar series! Attend any of the 1-hour webinars and you’ll receive a grade-band specific online curriculum along with a short training on how to use our lessons plans during remote teaching. These virtual PDs are appropriate for both teachers who are new to distance learning as well as those with experience.

Science PDs for Grades 6-12: These 1-hour teacher trainings will highlight a selection of secondary science lesson plans that align with courses like Environmental Science, Life Science, Biology, and Earth Science. Topics include sustainability, people and the environment, carrying capacity, climate change, resource conservation, and more.

Promoting Global Citizenship: Activities for Remote Learning
Social Studies PDs for Grades 6-12: These 1-hour trainings will highlight a selection of virtual secondary social studies lesson plans that align with courses like Geography, World History, U.S. Government, Civics, and Global Studies. Topics include population, physical geography, global trends, urbanization, people and the environment, international development, public health, U.S. civics, the census, and more.

Cross-Curricular Activities for the Virtual K-5 Classroom
Interdisciplinary PDs for Grades K-5: Each of these 1-hour trainings will showcase three engaging, interdisciplinary lesson plans for grades K-5 that include topics like environmental stewardship, conducting a survey, wildlife habitats and predator/prey relationships, estimation and sampling, using basic formulas, sharing finite resources, decision making, and more.
