Content Standards Matches

Population Education lesson plans are matched to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), all 50 U.S. state standards, Canadian Provincial standards. Lesson plans are also aligned to the AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, and AP World History CEDs as well as the framework for India’s NCERT.

To find lessons that align to a specific standard, select the “Standards → Lessons” tab. Choose which state or body of standards you’re using. Choose one or more subjects (hold ctrl to select several). Then select one or more grade levels (hold ctrl to select several). If you like, you can search for keywords in the standards text under Advanced Options. Find your standard in the list of search results, and click the Correlations button to see correlated lessons. Note, only standards with correlated lessons will be shown in the search results.

To find standards that align to a specific lesson, select the “Lesson → Standards” tab. Type keywords from the lesson title or summary. Your search will return results located within different Population Education libraries. Click to open a library and find lessons that match your search terms. Locate your lesson and click the View Standards button to see aligned standards.
