Resource Overview

In this role-playing simulation, students discover what happens to a forest when the demand for wood is greater than the supply and then graph their results.

Lesson plan PDF includes Spanish and English instructions.

Students will be able to:
  • Analyze the effect on a natural resource when demand exceeds supply.
  • Determine ways to preserve forests by impacting the supply and/or demand.
  • Explain at least two reasons why it is important to protect forests.
