We’re very excited to announce the winners for the 2014-2015 World of 7 Billion student video contest! The winning videos and bios of the student filmmakers can be watched online now.
The student video contest challenged high school students worldwide to create short videos that connect population growth to one of three global challenges and offer an idea for a sustainable solution to the issue. The videos had to be less than one minute in length and awards were given by topical category. You can read more about the contest results and see a full list of winners here.
Over the next three days, we’ll showcase the top student filmmakers, along with their videos, for each of the three global challenges.
- Friday: Winners for the global challenge “Most of the world’s suitable farmland is already under cultivation.”
- Monday: Winners for the global challenge: “Worldwide, 1 in 10 primary school age children and 1 in 3 secondary age children are not enrolled in school.”
- Tuesday: Winners for the global challenge “We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction.”
