Students read and discuss a story about people coming together to help one another, and then work to plan a school event to help others in their community.

Students will be able to:
  • Explain specific ways they can help people in need in their communities.
  • Plan and facilitate an event to donate goods to charitable organizations in their area.
  • Assess their involvement in a community service project.
