Resource Overview

Written and scaffolded for ELL, students construct a word web to show the possible cause and effect relationships of a growing population.

Students will be able to:
  • Use critical thinking to describe cause and effect relationships.
  • Identify some of the interconnections between human population, resources, and society.
  • Use forty different nouns in context and describe relationships among them using the words “more” and “less.”
  • Participate in verbal discussion.
  • Describe value judgments based off of a collective word web.
